CHOCOLATE ALMOND COOKIES ARE MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS TREAT. I DONT LET MYSELF MAKE THEM ANY OTHER TIME OF THE YEAR BECAUSE I WILL EAT THEM ALL. THEY POSSITIVELY MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. THEY ARE SUPER EASY TO MAKE. TAKES A TOTAL OF 20 MINUTES. THEY ARE POSITIVELY PERFECT.
THIS IS ORIGINALLY A BETTY CROCKER RECIPE, ALL CREDIT GOES TO HER FOR THIS GENIUS RECIPE. I HAD TO INCLUDE THIS COOKIE IN MY RECIPES BECAUSE ITS ONE OF MY VERY FAVORITES.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 CUP SUGAR
3/4 CUP BUTTER, SOFTENED
1 EGG YOLK
1 tsp ALMOND EXTRACT
1 1/2 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
1/4 CUP UNSWEETENED COCOA
THIS RECIPE MAKES 35 PETITE COOKIES.
THIS IS SO SIMPLE IM NOT SURE ITS ACUALLY POSSIBLE TO SCREW IT UP!
FIRST THINGS FIRST. SET YOUR BUTTER OUT ON THE COUNTER AT LEAST AN HOUR BEFORE YOU GET STARTED. YOUR BUTTER NEEDS TO BE SOFT.
HEAT YOUR OVEN TO 375*.
HERE ARE YOUR INSTRUCTIONS:
IN LARGE BOWL COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT FLOUR & COCOA. BEAT AT MEDIUM SPEED UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY (2-3 MIN) ADD COCOA, MIX, THEN GRADUALLY ADD FLOUR, UNTIL WELL MIXED. LIGHTLY SPRAY COOKIE SHEET, I USE PAM. PLACE 1' APART. BAKE FOR 7-9 MINUTES. IN MY OVEN IT TAKES A SOLID 9 MINUTES FOR THE INSIDES TO FULLY COOK. LET COOL AND ENJOY!
