INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup Butter, Soft
1 Cup White Granulated Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Egg

3 Cups Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder

THE NOVELTY OF A NON EXPANDING, YUMMY SUGAR COOKIE.

The following is a recipe that I found for those beautiful, non chubby, delicate sugar cookies everyone but you seems to be able to make! Its actually quite simple, I don't know why this recipe is different than the others but tried and true. This one works.

I USE A KITCHEN AID MIXER IN MY KITCHEN YOU CAN ALSO USE A HAND MIXER OR YOU COULD MAKE THEM BY HAND IT WILL JUST TAKE LONGER. I LOVE MY KITCHEN AID AND USE IT FOR EVERYTHING!

1. Set 2 sticks of butter on counter a couple hours before you plan on making cookies.
2. Preheat Oven.
3. Put Butter & Sugar in the mixer and beat together, until it is light and fluffy.
4. Add Vanilla and the Egg. Mix.

5. In another bowl mix the Flour, Baking Powder & Salt. Mix together
6. Start Mixer, add dry ingredients to your mixing bowl a little at a time. You will end up with a thick dough.

7. Flour your countertop, gather all your dough into a ball, then split the ball in half. This makes the dough easier to work with.
8. Sprinkle one ball with flour, to keep the rolling pin from sticking then roll out the dough to a 1/4 inch thick.
9. Make sure your dough is rolled out as even as possible so that your cookies are all even.

10. Now its time to march out those fabulous beautiful cookie cutters. Cut your cookies out as close to each other as possible, the more times you roll out dough the harder its going to get.

11. Lightly Spray your cookie sheet with pam.
12. Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes, if they start to get brown your cooking them to long. The less you cook them the softer they will be.
13. Recollect your scraps and reroll out for your cookie cutters. If your scraps wont stick together ad a couple teaspoons of water as needed.
