LOCATED ON THE EDGE OF THE BLACK HILLS OF SD. OUR LODGE OFFERS VIEWS OF THE BEAUTIFUL PINE RIDGE, COVERED IN PINE TREES, CREEKS AND BUTTES. HIKE, RIDE OR HUNT ON THE PONDEROSA WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA, ONLY 5 MILES DOWN THE COUNTY ROAD.

The Ponderosa Wildlife Management Area is 4000+ acres, designated for public use: hunting, fishing, hiking, climbing and bird watching. The area is a host to lots of wildlife, including an abundance of deer and wild turkeys, other wildlife include bighorn sheep elk, mountain lions, coyotes, and the common mix of porcupines, raccoons, and skunks. Our location provides you with the full Pine Ridge experience, surrounding you with wildlife, forest and the beauty of Western NE, while still providing easy access as we are not even a mile off the county rd. We have 2 locations available, The Lodge and Pinecone Cottage: New 2023 we will have an RV hook up available.

WE ALWAYS SUGGEST A 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE FOR THIS AREA ESPECIALLY DURING DEER AND TURKEY SEASONS. SOMETIMES ITS SNOWING SOMETIMES ITS BALMY.
BOTH OUR PROPERTIES ARE CONSIDERED UNPLUGGED, MEANING WE DONT GUARANTEE CELL SERVICE, WE ALSO DONT PROVIDE INTERNET OR TV.
PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH ABBY PRIOR TO DRIVING OUT FOR WHEN YOU WILL ARRIVE, SHE NEEDS TO BE ON HAND TO CHECK YOU IN.
WE ARE NONE SMOKING, UNLESS YOU HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH ABBY. ITS BEEN VERY DRY ON THE RANCH THIS YEAR AND WE DONT WANT IT TO BURN DOWN.

THE LODGE

We currently have available the 1st floor of our lodge. Which is a completely separate, private space as it has it's own entrance. It Includes 2 rooms, one with a queen and the other with a full. Living room equipped with Ping-Pong table and game space, Kitchen (minus a cookstove, however we do provide a grill) & Full Bath. It overlooks the beautiful Pine Ridge.

RATES:

CASH - $150 per night - Deer Rifle Season
- $110 per night - all other seasons
CREDIT CARD - not available at this time
KENNEL - $10 a night.
Payment for your rooms is required upon arrival.

PINECONE COTTAGE

The Pinecone is located a few miles south of the Lodge, still surrounded by the beautiful pine ridge. The Pinecone is an entire house. It has 4 bedrooms: 2 with queens, 2 with fulls, it also has Living space, Dining, Kitchen and Bath. The Pinecone is done up in rustic décor and is focused around the concept of getting back to basics and enjoying time without all the distractions of electronics. It is equipped with all the basic cooking necessities and of course a deer hang and wash station. When you reserve the Pinecone you are getting the entire house. So if you are 1 person or a group of 4 you get the same amount of space.

Coming from Crawford - Head South of Crawford on 71, turn East onto Sawlog Rd, Go 10 miles. (Sawlog Rd will turn into Squaw Creek and then Table Rd)

HOW TO FIND US. Pinecone Cottage

Coming from Crawford - Head South of Crawford on 71, turn East onto Sawlog Rd, Go 10 miles. (Sawlog Rd will turn into Squaw Creek and then you will reach a Y for Table Rd going East and Squaw Mound Rd going South. Turn and go South on Squaw Mound Rd, approx. 3 miles on the east (left) side of the rd you will see the sign for the Pinecone Cottage.)
